We are a group of high school students with a deep interest in Physics and the cosmos. To come clean, this project started out as a fun hackathon hobby project at the beginning, but we soon realized the implications of a having a powerful API and library for this. Many visualisations of the solar system do not show the correct orbital pathways in an interactive nature, usually to avoid complex processing, even such as those available on this website.
The problem is, students hence do not learn the correct information about the heavenly bodies and are usually misled their entire lives. To fix this issue, we created an API to offload all the complex math and processing on to our API backend, leaving the frontend for the client lightweight.
